31st December - Gales mid afternoon and into the evening Max gust of 56.5 knots or 65mph ! 

29th December - Vantage Pro 2 installed, new anemometer and temp gauge adjacent to Met Screen,V

24th December - Ice Day = Max was -0.6c - a rare event ! 

3rd December - Gust to 40knots overnight 

29th November- 100mm up today for the monthly rainfall 

17th November - First snow on pennines above 1700ft, sleet observed at 0900hrs at station. 

1st November - first air frost -0.4c 

13/14th October warm sunny days - 18.6 and 18.4c 

October 10th - First Grass Frost -0.2c 

September 2006 Mean max was 19.3c - 2c warmer than 7 year average, Rainfall 112%, second wettest on record. 

21st September 2006 - Second warmest September day at 26.2 as ex Hurricane Gordon brings in very warm southerley winds. Max gust 28.7knots . 

26th July 2006 - Highest MIN on record 17.7c 

18th July 2006 - Warmest July day on record with 31.3c just 0.3 degrees outside my all time highest of 31.6 on the 9th August 2003 

May 2006 - Wettest May on record 98.2mm 

14th May - Wettest Day of the year so far 26.6mm - 10th wettest day on record 

March 2006 - Wettest March on record, double the average 

12th March - 0900 Blizzard conditions 

11th Feb - first snow fall and snow cover of the year, very thin dusting 

30th Jan - First Ice Day since Jan 5th 2003 and the coldest day since my records began - Max -0.7c
